What Is Instructional Design?
Instructional Design is the art and science of creating powerful and effective learning experiences. 

At BLS, we practice this discipline by applying principles of educational psychology, adult learning theory, and neuroscience to develop unique and impactful training products that meet each client’s needs.

Our Process
Analyize
We spend time getting to know you and the needs of your company. We determine where this training needs to be directed in order to solve your pain points, and work with you to ensure that we understand your difficulties as well as you do.

Design
Using the information we gather from your company, we construct the framework for a tailor-made training product. We decide what kinds of training resources to use and how they will best be implemented.

Develop
Once we have the framework for the training, we build out the different components to create all the necessary resources you will need for training (i.e. videos, courses, curriculums, etc.). Our cross-functional staff are able to develop high level media in-house, keeping the integrity of the design and the desired learning outcomes.

Implement
When the learning product is complete, we can help you share it with your target audience -- whether that means providing trained facilitators to present an in-person course, providing technical support for e-learning deployment via a Learning Management System, or distributing copies of videos.

Evaluate
We are constantly evaluating what is working, what isn’t, what can be better, and how we can improve the learning outcomes. Our training products come with evaluation tools like pre/post tests, follow-up surveys, and other tools to help you evaluate the effectiveness of your training endeavor so we can help you continue improving it into the future.

Consult/Maintain
We are invested in helping you reach your goals, so throughout the instructional design training process we advise and consult so that project-specific decisions are made in concert with your big-picture human performance objectives.
